Until October 16 in the Nuova Scuola Grande di Santa Maria della Misericordia, Jan Fabre’s Pietas exhibition of five outstanding gigantic Carrara marble sculptures. The viewer who steps unto the platform the boards becomes an actor amongst the sculptures that represent various interpretations of the Pieta owing to the emotions of compassion and reconciliation. They are anatomic organs and bodies, which, inside the artist’s work assume the form and power of symbols.
